Riccardo Ricciardi, Jr., MD has been designated as a UroLift® Center of Excellence. Background Information
Riccardo Ricciardi, Jr., MD started his advanced education at Skidmore College, where he was Vice President of his class and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with highest honors in biochemistry. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College and began his surgical training at North Shore University/Cornell Medical College. Dr. Ricciardi then proceeded with his urological training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, where he also was fellowship trained in erectile dysfunction under Dr. Arnold Melman.
Dr. Ricciardi has had a successful career in urology. Before age 40, he became director of urology at both Flushing and Jamaica Hospital Medical Centers, where he administrates and oversees the urologic care provided by over 15 urologists. He has advanced surgical skills in the areas of BPH, female incontinence, and erectile dysfunction. He has attended numerous advanced training seminars and acted as a proctor to other urologists in these areas. Currently, Dr. Ricciardi sits on IMP subcommittees, acting in an advisory role, to help provide quality of care and facilitate operations for the group.
