Dr. Rajiv Saini is a Board Certified Urologist. He completed his urology residency at Brookdale in 2006, followed by a fellowship in Voiding Dysfunction and Neurourology at Weill-Cornell Medical College/New York-Presbyterian Hospital. As part of his fellowship, Dr. Saini was trained in the diagnosis and management of conditions such as male and female overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, bladder outlet obstruction and benign prostatic hyperplasia. His focus encompassed advanced techniques in video urodynamics and surgical procedures for the treatment of male and female urinary incontinence and retention, as well as complex neurogenic voiding dysfunction resulting from spinal cord injury or disease. These techniques include male and female slings, male artificial urinary sphincter, laser prostatectomy and sacral neuromodulation. In addition, he also performs general urologic procedures.
His academic activities include a variety of publications on topics ranging from the pharmacologic treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms and urinary incontinence to the management of BPH with minimally invasive techniques. He has presented various topics at national and international meetings. In addition, Dr. Saini has been a course instructor and surgical skills proctor for BPH courses offered through the American Urological Association.
Dr. Rajiv Saini attended Binghamton University where he received his undergraduate degree in Biology in 1995. He graduated with his medical degree from SUNY Downstate in 2000. He is an active member of several associations including the AUA (American Urological Association), and SUFU (Society for Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction.
