Developed and spearheaded Foley catheter algorithm and implementation for proper management of Foley catheter guidelines in two large hospital systems in Chicago, IL. Currently being implemented and adopted as official guideline for reduction of (Christ Advocate Medical Center, 1,100 beds and Cook County Hospital System 600 beds)
Developed official teaching power-point presentation, hands-on educational sessions for hospital nursing staff, Emergency Room residents and attending’s on proper Foley catheter selection, placement, and management on a per patient basis in order to decrease traumatic foley placement, decrease CAUTI’s, as well as increase cost efficiency
